1. No account, no cookies
Room X-Ray has no accounts and no login — you never give us an email or password. Our website and browser extension set no cookies and do not track you across sites. We use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool (Umami) that records only aggregate page visits, never personal identifiers.
2. Information we collect
When you view a property on Booking.com or Airbnb with the Room X-Ray browser extension, we collect the property's public identifiers (listing id, city/zone, guest rating, number of reviews) and the aggregate sentiment our AI derives from its public reviews. We do NOT collect your browsing history beyond the property pages where you actively use the extension, and we do NOT store who viewed which property.
3. How we use your information
Property data is used to generate and cache AI review summaries for the extension and to improve the service in aggregate. We do not build public recommendation pages from your activity, and aggregated data never identifies you.
4. We do not sell your data
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade personal data or individual browsing activity with third parties.
5. Data retention
Aggregated, anonymized property data may be retained to power cached summaries, as it can no longer be linked to you.
