1. What we collect
Room X-Ray does not require an account or sign-up. The extension sends hotel review text from Booking.com and Airbnb to our server for AI analysis. We do not store personal data, browsing history, or cookies.
2. How we use the data
Review text is processed to generate a summary and is cached (keyed by property, not by user) to serve repeat requests faster. No personal identifier is attached to a summary.
3. Analytics
The website uses Umami (self-hosted, cookieless) to count page views. No personal data is collected and no tracking cookies are set.
4. Third parties
We use OpenAI to generate summaries. Review text is sent to their API. See OpenAI's usage policies for how they handle data. We use Cloudflare for DNS and CDN. No data is sold to third parties.
5. Data retention
Cached summaries are retained indefinitely (they are anonymous property-level data). Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for debugging.
